How it started

It was a typical Tuesday morning- I was sitting in my office going over the files of my latest case. It seemed like an easy one and I was just going over how to tackle it when there was knocking on my door. “Come in,” I said while still not looking up from my papers. Claudia, my receptionist, cleared her throat to call for my attention and as I looked up to question her I saw him- Jim Dunbar aka SteelMan, from the A-league.
To give a background the A-League is a league of 7 superheroes who are called into action every time our world is in danger. And SteelMan is one of the most popular heroes from the A-league. Now I’m not saying I am a bad lawyer, I’ve got a good record but I’ve never had a client this big. Literally. At 6’2 Jim towered over me and as he extended his hand for a handshake, I flinched instinctively and that sent him into bouts of laughter.
Embarrassed I apologized and getting over my shock asked him what I could help him with.

His face suddenly got serious and taking a seat he said to me “ I am being sued. You remember when I recently fought Galactron? Well I defeated him by throwing him into one of Big Corps newest building- and they weren’t really happy about it….” he ended with a cheeky smile.

Doesn’t their insurance policy cover this?”. “Well that’s the thing- Big Corp isn’t suing me, SuperInsurance Co is!- they’re claiming I did this on purpose with Big Corp to get out a huge insurance payout. It makes no sense!”
I replied, “That is true — it doesn’t make sense! How would they even prove something like that? Unless-

Suddenly a thought struck me and I picked up my phone to call an old friend, Rick. “Hey, Rick… I need you to do something for me. Can you let me know if SuperInsurance Co. recently met with any prisoners?…. They did? That’s great. Do you think you can mail over a copy of that record to me? Thanks”

As I kept the phone down I saw Jim sitting across from me confused and he asked “Did you figure something out? What is going on?” I smiled and told him “ I think we already won this case Jim
